I’ve been dreaming of my perfect wedding since I was a little girl. The shoes, the dress, the venue. Over the years, those dreams have changed and changed again and now, despite not being engaged, I picture two very different ideal weddings in my head. One is a big family church wedding with a huge celebration out in the Kent Countryside and the other a relaxed intimate beach wedding, somewhere hot. To this day, I am still not sure which we will go for when Sean finally gets down on one knee, but should we do decide to elope this is how I picture it.
We’d fly out to a Greek Island, Kefalonia if I could choose, with all of our immediate family and spend a week in the Mediterranean sunshine before getting married in a tiny Greek chapel. We would then go on to party on white sandy beach lit by fairy lights and candles where our wedding breakfast would be cooked on a barbecue and served up on linen laden tables. We’d dance and drink champagne until the sun went down. The dream is all very Mama Mia-esque!
After the wedding itself, Sean & I would fly to somewhere exotic, perhaps Antigua or Mauritius for our Honey Moon. We’d stay at a spa hotel and be pampered all week long.
