We are well into our weaning journey with Florence and over the next few weeks we are going to be sharing some of the products that have made the whole process that bit easier right here. Today I wanted to tell you about the Vital Baby Unbelievabowl.
It took no time at all for Florence to start taking an interest in the bowls and plates we dished up her meals on and after the second bowl of dinner was picked up and thrown on the floor I decided to abandon all crockery and just place her food directly onto the High Chair tray. Until we were sent a fantastic bundle of weaning wonders from Vital Baby and discovered the Unbelievabowl Suction Bowl that is.
The Unbelievabowl comes in two pieces – a suction pad and a bowl – and is designed to stick to your childs high chair tray / table during meal times so that they can’t just pick it up and throw it! You simply pull up the lever on the suction pad, push down and it attaches itself to any smooth surface, then you can just twist the bowl part on, click it in place and it stays firmly in place while your little one eats. Florence has definitely put ours through its paces and has tried so many times to lift it up but it stays stuck to the spot until we come along and remove it with a simple twist ready to wash. Both parts can be washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher as well as being steriliser friendly making it practical to the very end.
To start with, I only put finger foods in the Unbelievabowl that Florence could grab with her hands, but now that she is a lot more confident in using a spoon I happily serve up purees and porridge in here too. Don’t get me wrong, she still makes a mess but it stays fairly contained in the tray rather than escaping to the floor too. We’ve even used it in our tuff spot for holding our edible paint.
The Unbelievabowl is available in three colour ways – blue, pink & orange – and also comes in a handy travel edition too complete with a lid and spoon which we will definitely be purchasing. The unbelievabowl is only £5.99 which I think is more than reasonable for this handy little gadget – we use it every day at least twice a day so it’s well worth the money.
Stay tuned for more weaning wonders over the next couple of weeks including the genius Vital Baby Trap-a-Snack!
