So yesterday was Sean’s first Father’s Day as a Daddy and while our day didn’t exactly go to plan – Heatwave + Newborn do not mix well! – we still had a lovely day as a family.
We started the morning with cuddles & presents. We bought Sean a ‘Dad Life’ Hoodie from Little Dot, a personalised from LetterFest and Florence wore a very cute ‘Happy Dada Day‘ vest from My First Years.
We’d originally planned to head out to a local Farmers Market which we go to every month, pick up some yummy local produce and have a picnic in the priory grounds, but it was already super hot and Sean’s hayfever was really bad so instead we decided to head to see Sean’s Dad for the morning before coming home and having a special Fathers Day BBQ lunch, just us.
Once we’d set up operation cool the house down (curtains shut, windows open, fans on, lights off) and some play time, we all settled down to watch a film together and about half an hour later were all sound asleep. Sunday afternoons were made for napping right?
After Florence’s 6pm bottle we all went out for a wander around the park with Alfie and on the way home picked up some ‘tasties’ from the shop before spending the evening together as a family.
