I can hardly believe it’s over! I’ve spent the last month or so planning Florence’s first Birthday Party and on Saturday all of my plans came to life. 60 of our friends and family came to celebrate our little girl turning one and we honestly had such a wodnerful day. The weather was beautiful and Florence was in her absolute element being surrounded by people who were there to see her and partied hard until she finally crashed at 11pm! I thought I would share with you what we got up to at Florence’s Rainbow Themed Birthday Party.
The cake table was decorated with a rainbow balloon arch. We hung 100ft of giant multi coloured bunting around the garden and gazebos which filled the sky with rainbow flags and hung lanterns from the tree above the music wall. The children ate at a specially made table which was decorated with a rainbow coloured balloon table runner and corresponding plates & cups.
The Games & Activities
All of the children were asked to choose a party box when they arrived and instructed to go and find the unicorns who were guarding the special treasure! There were books, gold coins, play doh pots, rainbow drops and rainbow coloured ducks.
We filled up the paddling pool & tuff spot with water and rainbow coloured toys so that the littles could splash about and cool down.
There was an arts and crafts table where the children decorated clouds with glitter & sparkle.
I created a Rainbow Sensory Play area with books and rainbow scarves and shakers and a wooden stacker. There was also a ball pool filled which was certainly a hit with the littles!
And fun was had by all on the climbing frame Sean & his brother have built! The children spent hours going up and down the bumpy slide, playing in the play house, the little cafe, making music on the music wall and digging for gold in the sand pit.
We had so so many compliments on our outfits! Florence wore a beautiful handmade rainbow scalloped dress from Wild Things Dresses and I wore a dress I bought from Shein.
We served a rainbow themed feast for the children and later on a bbq for the adults. I’ve shared a whole blog post on all of the food we had on offer here.
We had the most amazing day and we feel so blessed that so many people came to wish our Florrie bum a happy birthday.
