It’s that time of year when the shops are filled with sales and if you’ve seen my latest fashion haul on my YouTube channel you’ll see I just cannot resist bagging a bargain when it comes to my wardrobe.. and Florence’s for that matter. Sometimes […]
This weeks fashion post is all about Girl Power thanks to these cute slogan tees from two of our High Street favourites! If you can’t match your daughter while she’s little and can’t protest, when can you?! Afterall ‘Twinning is Winning’ right? I recently discovered […]
We’re into the second week of picking our favourite outfits of the week to share with you (you can see our last Mama & Baby Style post here) and this week we’re loving ditsy florals & denim!
Have I said before that I love dressing Florence? Yesterday we headed to Florence’s first family party, and so of course, she just had to dress accordingly! I had planned for her to wear a lovely little outfit I’d bought from River Island but she’s in a weird stage where she’s growing out of newborn size but anything in 0-3m is way to big so there was a slight change of plan.
I picked up a beautiful little denim dress set from Mothercare in the sale on Friday ready for her to wear but unfortunately the dress part just didn’t quite fit right when I put it on. Instead we teamed the cute little floral body suit that came with it with this denim dress from Next. The dress buttons up at the back, but unlike some outfits she’s worn, the buttons aren’t too fiddly. It has lovely little detailing on the front too and adorable capped sleeves.
This week I’ve been loving this pink ditsy floral dress I found in H&M. It’s so comfortable and easy to throw on quickly in the morning when you’ve got less than 10 seconds to get ready before your baby goes nuclear! It has a pretty tie up neck (perfect access for any breastfeeding Mama’s out there and spaghetti straps.
To give it a bit more of a shape, I added a tan belt from Primark to bring it in at the waist. Paired with a denim jacket & some sandals (I wore these ones from Boohoo) this is the perfect outfit for those days when the weather just can’t make up its mind heat wise.
As I neared the end of my pregnancy, it suddenly dawned on me that soon enough, I’d be able to wear normal clothes again without having to negotiate a big rock solid bump that often resembled a giant boiled egg as even my most comfortable […]
This time next week I will be home with my feet up after two hectic days at The Baby Show. I have been looking forward to my first Baby Show with a bump for so very long having previously attended to network as a business […]
It’s no secret that the weather has definitely taken a chilly turn and with this belly of mine getting bigger by the day and the days of squeezing into my stretchy size 10s are numbered for sure. I’ve fallen in love with maternity jeans and leggings and thank goodness for H&M vest tops and baggy jumpers but the one thing I have been struggling to get into is my faithful parka jacket. Sadly that zip just keeps getting harder to fasten so when Yummy Mummy Maternity contacted me to ask whether I would like to review something from their winter collection I couldn’t say yes faster.
They kindly sent me a Tikka Padded Double Zipped Maternity & Beyond Hooded Winter Coat in black.
At the moment I am wearing it without the extra zip section (super easy to attach/detach when you need to) which is ready and waiting for Bump to grow a little more. It’s incredibly warm and comfy I really like the style. Without the extra section it’s fitted and flattering.
It has a concealed hood in the collar which is easily unzipped one handed when you need it – super practical in a sudden downpour -but can be discreetly hidden away when it’s not needed. Enclosed it offers extra warmth around the back of the neck. The coat comes to just above the knee which is a really nice length and prevents that horrid chill at the bottom of your back shorter styles can often give.
There are three pockets on the outside, one breast and two side pockets. The depth of the side pockets are probably the only part of the coat that disappoints me – you can’t fit a mobile phone in them, let alone much else.
The Tikka coat is available at Yummy Mummy Maternity for £110 which qualifies for free delivery. It may seem a bit pricey to some, but for the quality and longevity (It’s perfect for wear after baby arrives) makes it worth it in my eyes.
Look out for my review of their occasion wear perfect for party season in the next couple of weeks.
I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d seen photographs, read people’s stories, looked in awe at the transformations, but absolutely nothing in this world could have prepared me for the sense of calm you feel when you arrive. Walking through the door of the Red Shoe Studio […]
With just 32 days until we jet off on holiday to Mexico we have been doing some shopping – the best kind of shopping! I will most likely do a series of posts about what we’ve been buying but today I thought I’d share with you […]
