Is there anything quite like cosy winter evenings snuggled up in your jim jams watching Christmas movies and drinking hot chocolate with your other half? Okay so it might not be the most… glamorous way to spend your Friday evenings but it is getting blooming cold out […]
It’s been a bit quiet on the Fashion posts front here lately. In truth, I’m really struggling to find flattering clothes this post baby body of mine and so haven’t much felt like showing it off! But this week, Mama & Baby Style returns after […]
I’m often asked by friends, family & blog readers for recommendations of the best places to get good quality beautiful baby clothes and as Florence has such a vast wardrobe I think I’m pretty clued up in this department. Here is a list of some of our favourite places to buy outfits for your baby on the High Street & from independent brands online. We’ll be adding to this list as we go, so be sure to check back when you’re in search of some baby fashion inspiration!
We are BIG lovers of Boots Mini Club and Florence practically lives in their rompers & sleepsuits. They wash up really well and I love the bright & bold patterns they have on offer across their range.
I’ve been really surprised with how much I love mothercare clothing. Before I had Florence I always thought that their bits were a little over priced but in actual fact I’ve picked up so many lovely outfits from there. Probably on par with Boots Mini Club for quality, mothercare clothes just seem to last and last wash after wash. Their sleepsuit multipacks are my favourite from across all of the High Street shops and are roomy and comfortable for baby and their little outfits ware just as well. Florence has a whole bunch of this super cute bunny collection and their My K & Little Bird by Jools ranges are definitely worth taking a look at if you’re after bold & beautiful patterns for either boy or girl.
For the trendiest baby clothes in town Next is my go to place! You might have seen my Next Sale Haul where I picked up so many absolutely gorgeous bits & bobs for Florence. Our most recent favourite have to be these cute bunny joggers!
Matalan’s baby range is absolutely brilliant and such great value for money. When Florence was just born I headed to Matalan on the off chance that I might find some cooler clothes for the heatwave we were in and came home with two huge bags full. Again, they wash really well and the range is so varied and colourful.
Luxury handmade leggings for boys & girls from 0 – 4 years. We absolutely adore this brand for their quality & brilliant service and I cannot wait for Florence to finally grow into her Anchor leggings!
I recently discovered this brand on instagram and have an ever growing wishlist from their store! We have a gorgeous hot air balloon romper on the way to us at the moment! I love the vibrant colours.

Home to even more Princess & the Frock designs as well as many more, we love the variety of bright & bold beautifulness available at Florrie & Max.
Alex has designed an array of coordinating unisex leggings, bibs & muslins in gorgeous animal prints! We especially love the new range which includes a lamb & bear zippy sleepsuit.
Whether you’re after dinosaurs, unicorns, flowers or robots the lovely Emma over at Do Make and Mend makes gorgeous clothes for littlies. We love this skirt that I ordered from her a couple of weeks ago and I’ve got my eye on some gorgeous Dino harems at the moment! You can shop her range of ready to ship clothing on her etsy page or contact her on facebook to see the range of fabrics she has for any custom items.

It’s that time of year when the shops are filled with sales and if you’ve seen my latest fashion haul on my YouTube channel you’ll see I just cannot resist bagging a bargain when it comes to my wardrobe.. and Florence’s for that matter.
Sometimes though, it can be difficult to find exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to sale shopping and then when you do, it’s not in your size – hate that!
Find out when your favourite retailers are set to launch their sales
It’s fairly easy to find out when your favourite High Street retailers are likely to go into sale. Shops like Next publish their sales dates around two weeks before and you can easily find out with just a quick google search. Once in the know, you can make sure you’re among the first shoppers to get your hands on the best bargains!
Try everything on
There’s nothing worse than going shopping, coming home and realising that your recent purchases don’t fit and then having to dredge back into town to return them. Half the time, I forget to take them back and then they just sit, unworn until I eventually give them to the charity shop. During sale season, it’s likely there will be less of each style and item and so the chance of being able to exchange something for a different size might not be possible, so try everything on before you buy.
Shop from your Sofa
I recently discovered a fabulous website called Love the Sales. Love the Sales have collated all of your favourite retailers sale items and put them all in one place for easy peasy sale shopping you can do with your feet up!
Thinking ahead while shopping the sales is so important, especially when shopping for wardrobe staples or children’s clothing. I’ve been able to pick up quite a few things for the autumn and next summer for Florence by sizing up and by doing so have managed to take advantage of some fab savings.
This weeks fashion post is all about Girl Power thanks to these cute slogan tees from two of our High Street favourites! If you can’t match your daughter while she’s little and can’t protest, when can you?! Afterall ‘Twinning is Winning’ right? I recently discovered […]
