You might recall that last week I reviewed my recent purchase of the Miss Sporty INSTAGlow Foundation after my hunt for a brightening foundation that was something a little different from my usual RIMMEL base. In the same haul I also picked up the Bourjois […]

Miss Sporty Instaglow Foundation & Morning Baby Cream Blush

Instaglow Creme Blush Miss Sporty

A couple of weeks ago, during a twitter chat, we were discussing our favourite drug store brands and I mentioned that I was looking to add to my make up collection to add a bit of variety. We were talking about foundations, and how I tend to stick to my old faithfuls – RIMMEL Wake Me Up, RIMMEL Lasting Effect and throughout the summer or on holiday the Miss Sporty So Clear when Ellouise at Mallow Beauty mentioned that Miss Sporty had just bought their new INSTA Glow Foundation. I must have been hiding under a rock when this was announced by Miss Sporty themselves, as a whole bunch of tweets came my way recommending it and so I thought I’d best give it a try.

First impressions were that it is quite a thin solution compared to their So Clear version which is of a much thicker consistency (though still very light when applied!) and I wondered whether this would effect the coverage. While it is quite a lighter covering base, it does give the dewy and luminous complexion it promises.

I opted for the Medium 003 shade after much too-ing and throwing in the shop and I’m glad I did, as I think any lighter would have left me looking more washed out rather than refreshed.

I also picked up the Miss Sporty Morning Baby! Cream Blush, which is unusual for me as I tend to steer well clear of liquid blushes and stick to them in powder form. The Cream Blush is available in two shades – Pink Flush 001 and Coral Flush 002 and I chose the Pink option this time around.

When applying you honestly need the smallest amount, but once you have that sorted it’s so easy to apply – just rub onto your cheeks with your fingers and it dries really quickly.

Both the foundation & the blush lasted well throughout the day and make the perfect combo for a fresh Spring make up look. To top it off, they were included in the buy three for £5.00 deal in Superdrug so I picked up an eyeliner too! All in all, I am super impressed.
