Exactly one month today I will be heading to Mexico with Mr, his brother and his wife for a blissful two week holiday and I am soooo excited. I am going to be doing a series of count down posts in the lead up to […]

Catch up, Cake & a Surprise Dinner Date

Yesterday I set off to Bluewater to see a good online friend of mine that I met through Beebies. Kelly used to be a Beebies Ambassador and so we have forged a pretty good online friendship over the last few years and though we have […]

The beauty essential you didn’t know you had

The beauty essential you didn’t know you had

If you are anything like me, you spend hours wandering the aisles in boots and flicking through magazines and blogs to search for the latest innovation in beauty products.

As a teenager I really suffered with angry spotty break outs and oily skin. Sadly my sister is having an even tougher time with teenage skin than I. There is one thing, one product, I will always always recommend for any ouchies, but especially for red spots and patchy, blotchy skin.

Sudocrem.

I know, I know it’s more commonly known as baby bum cream. But Sudocrem was and still is my ultimate unspoken beauty product for achieving clear as well as soft skin.

When I came out in a sore and itchy rash last week due to an allergic reaction it was that big grey tub was the first thing I turned to to soothe it. Unsuprisingly the discomfort and blotchiness calmed down over night and the bumpyness was taken care of by the antihistamine tablets.

L and I have weekly sudocrem face packs to help keep our skin clear and I can not recommend them enough! They help to dry up oily spots and banish redness.

The Body Shop All-in-One Beauty Must Haves

The Body Shop All-in-One Beauty Must Haves

Last week I paid a monthly visit to the Body Shop to stock up on some of my favourites which have recently run out. The main reason for my visit was to pick up some more Raspberry Harvest shower gel & scrub but they had […]

5 Simple Steps to Drop a Dress Size

You know when that photo of you winds up on facebook and you automatically cringe at how much weight you’ve gained? Well, in one word, THAT.

I am really struggling to lose this excess weight. To be honest I get less and less motivated the more lbs that pile on and I need something small to start with to get me back on the wagon again.

I found this article on the cosmopolitan website with ways to drop 5lbs in a week and so I have decided to adapt them to fit m lifestyle and try drop a dress size. Here are my goals.

D R I N K  W A T E R  O N L Y – C U T  O U T  T H E  S Q U A S H I do not drink hot drinks (apart from the occasional hot chocolate) and I’m not really a fizzy drinks fan, but I do drink a lot of fruit juice & squash. I am going to try and cut this down by drinking water only throughout each day. I am hoping this will help to improve my skin as lately I have become very spotty too.

D I T C H  T H E  W H I T E  G R A I N  P R OD U C T S  I don’t generally eat white bread at all, except for crusty rolls occasionally, but I do eat a lot of pasta and white rice which are classed as ‘simple carbohydrates’. They are digested quickly and so leave you feeling hungry sooner than you should be and they also contribute to bloating.

Brown bread, though not a ‘white grain product’, also contributes to bloating more than you would think, and both my breakfasts & lunches are generally brown bread based. Instead I am going to swap bread out completely for fruits & vegetables and hopefully I will see a difference.

M A K E  A  F O O D  S A C R I F I C E As well as bread, I am going to try and LIMIT the amount of chocolate I eat. I have tried before to cut it out completely and failed and so instead I am going to slowly decrease the amount of chocolate I eat.

Cheddar is also a big weakness of mine, so I am swapping it for the healthier options of mozarella and feta cheese in moderation.

R E G U L A R   E X E R C I S E I am going to try and get in some  daily cardio excercise in the form of this work out video. I have done this one before and it’s more intense than you first think but I am hoping to be able to work myself into it again.

Sit ups, lunges and squats

My main problem areas are my thighs, bum and tum. I am going to do 36 of one of the above each day to try and get them toned!

Getting my Craft on

Getting my Craft on

If you know me personally, you’ll know I am a bit rubbish at anything arty farty. I cannot sew to save my life, my drawings are lucky if they’re even stick man standard and don’t even get me started on my baking ability! However, I […]

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara – is it worth the hype?
